  • LCTV has produced a new TV interview series called Living History with hostess Kathy Grady that has been airing recently on Channel 12.  Town residents including Linda Abrams, Guy D'Antonio, Gertrude Zancho and others who have lived in Longmeadow for 50 years or more share their life experiences.  We have collected some of the Living History videos that have been posted on YouTube for convenient viewing. 

    Two new interviews have been posted- one with Crawford Lincoln and another with Betty Rochford.

     
  • Longmeddowe Days 2012 is not too far away.  Planning for the 33rd annual event scheduled for May 19-20 is well underway.  LMD committee members are very excited about prospects for an even bigger and better event than last year.  Applications for crafters/artists booths and town/ community groups are now available online.  Community members interested in helping with this year's event are encouraged to volunteer.  Simply send an email to: longmeddowedays@gmail expressing your interest.

  • The Longmeadow Newcomers' Club founded in 1963 invites all women who have recently moved into town to consider joining their organization.  The Club offers a variety of activities based on diverse interests, including a monthly card game, a gourmet cooking club, children's playgroup and a monthly book club. In addition, the Club plans social events throughout the year that provide many opportunities for spouses, significant others and the entire family to get involved and have some fun.

  • Betsy Port- a long time town resident has started writing again for Betsy's Corner.  Check out her latest article about the aftermath of Storm Alfred that caused widespread tree damage to Longmeadow.... TreeCity USA.
     
  • LongmeadowMA offers free listings for community groups
    Longmeadow is a town rich in diversity. There are many different town groups representing the interests, cultures, and activities of our residents.     Moms Club® of Longmeadow is now the latest community organization to take advantage of our offer for a free listing and webpage.
    The Longmeadow Chamber Music Society has a new website where details of upcoming concerts for the 2011-2012 concert season can be found.
  • Longmeadow Community Bulletin Board
    If you want to avoid standing at the local Big Y or Williams Place bulletin boards reading the latest flyers, event notices, etc., please plan to visit the Longmeadow Community Bulletin Board. Town government, school department as well as civic groups/ organizations and individuals can use this free resource. If you have a flyer or notice of interest to Longmeadow residents, please submit it for a free posting on this new electronic bulletin board.
